It was a wonderful summer evening on the rooftop patio at Vasav’s St. Paul apartment complex. Here are a few “clicks” to share.
Thanks to Kirby and Will for the pics.
Kirby took FP in the Division I Fall Speech Contest in Table Topics held at The Machine Shed in Lake Elmo. He was representing Speak Up And Out. Vasav did a fantastic job for Metropolitan in the Humorous Speech Contest. Even though he didn’t place, he had the audience laughing uproariously at his “Who Let The Dogs In, Who, Who, Who?” speech.

Metropolitan Club Celebrates 60 Years!
The club… where the action is!
We threw a wonderful party at Carmen’s amazing house in St. Paul near the riverbanks of the Mississippi. It was a lovely evening of good food and conversation. The Mediterranean cuisine and potluck was fabulous, complete with gyro, saffron rice, tzatziki sauce, kebobs, Greek salad, hummus, fruit salad, baklava, rum cake, cookies and more!
Frank Mayers presented the club’s original charter. George Leiter recalled attending the 25th anniversary celebration. Kirby Johnson shared humous anecdotes about past members. Jolanta Kissoon set her sights on the future of the club. Craig, Sharon and Martha briefly shared their sentiments about how important the club has been to them.
